No study has found that it breaks anything
The claim is everywhere. The evidence for it is not.
The research on frequent masturbation, pornography use and erectile function does not find the damage the claim predicts. A laboratory study measuring genital response found no negative association between how much pornography men used and how they responded, and survey work across several countries has reported the same absence.
Erectile difficulty in younger men is real and worth taking to a doctor. Its documented causes are the ordinary ones: anxiety, alcohol, tobacco, sleep, medication, blood pressure and depression. The masturbation explanation is popular because it is the only item on that list a man can address by feeling guilty.
What to do with it
If erections have changed, go through the ordinary list first: alcohol, tobacco, sleep, weight, stress and any new medication, particularly antidepressants and blood pressure drugs.
Then see a doctor rather than a forum. Erectile difficulty in a younger man is sometimes the first sign of a cardiovascular problem, which is a reason to have it looked at and not a reason to panic.
